I've been caught up reading the bound galleys of this soon to be published book. It was excerpted in last Sunday's NY Times magazine (sorry I don't link to the NY Times site, I'm always annoyed at the registration logon). Moneyball is a good book and I recommend it to any baseball fan. It's a quick easy read and an interesting insight into how teams are trying to counter the Yankees deep pockets. The whole discussion of baseball parity is really a bit disingenuous, people keep talking about how there needs to be parity for the sport to survive but, in truth even before the leagues expanded baseball was dominated by a select few franchises.

I have my own ideas about how you could fix baseball, more on that another day.
